Description
SPRING CLIP/WIRE FORMING
Spring clips are regularly used in retaining and clamping applications as their strong grip is able to resist tension, movement and if they are attached between components in machinery they can help to dampen vibration.
Standard Material Thickness 0.3mm – 2.00mm
A spring clip is essentially a type of fastener that can be slotted in between two moving parts, or it can be snapped around something to hold it in place. The appearance and performance of a spring clip works very similarly to hair roller pins and cycle short clips: a roller pin is curved at the middle point so it snaps comfortable around the roller whilst also holding the roller in place on the head.
Spring clips are regularly used in retaining and clamping applications as their strong grip is able to resist tension, movement and if they are attached between components in machinery they can help to dampen vibration. Circlips can be used to replace the nut, bolt and washer combination that is often used to attach components together, such as in drive shafts.
